Boundlss is an AI-human health assistant and conversational platform for health & life insurers, and their members.
Boundlss helps health & life insurers engage & delight members with personalised health and wellness conversations. Our AI health and conversation platform uses biosensor data and artificial intelligence to deliver scalable health programs through a highly unique, blended AI-human conversational experience. Boundlss helps insurers talk to their members anywhere, anytime about the things they love. We work with some of the world's largest insurers including Great Eastern Life and AXA Hong Kong; providing a bi-lingual, AI-assisted, health & wellness called Alex and mobile app, Xtra by AXA.
Technology
Our conversation engine uses machine learning, natural language processing, structured conversation flows and dynamically hands over to human experts when required. Currently 50-60% responses are automated. Message Response times < 5sec for automated and <45 secs for human generated responses, 24/7.
Team
I managed a team of 15 staff (2x PHDs) and 5 fte (20 casual) health & wellness experts that provided support to our AI assistant. Our team is based in Hong Kong, Perth, Beijing and UK. At the time our team had experience in autonomous cars, robots, NLP, ML, health, genetics, ux design @Palantir, gaming @candy crush, branding, insurance @ Swiss Re and our head of BD managed $210M sales as GM @ CSC.
Our internal ML team was supported by 3 PHDs from our research partner, the Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre in Sydney, who have 40+ PHDs experienced in Machine Learning, insurance and health.
Achievements
Notable achievements include:
- Raised $2.2M in funding from one of Australia's wealthiest.
- Secured $2M in contracts within 12 months of launching our product.
- Secured post pilot contracts with AXA (worlds #3 insurer), Great Eastern Life (Singapore & Malaysia's largest life insurer), AIS (Thailand's largest telco) and Peoplecare (Australian health insurer).
- Run pilots with AXA HK, Great Eastern Life, Bupa UK, Travellers and the Hartford.
- Secured research partnership with the Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre, Sydney Australia.
